Well what a night and what a great result for the great Manchester United. I must admit that this was a much better final than I thought it was going to be, but being a Man U fan I do believe that the best side won but I am sure most people would expect me to say that. After the first 30 minutes we should have been 3 up and the game should have been out of reach but thats just not how Man U do it, as Fergie often says we do it the hard way. Well Chelsea got the equalizer just before the break and then they went on to play well in the second half but i never felt that they would go on and win. Man U were again the better team in Extra Time and Gigg’s could have won it. As for the trouble well Tevez had every right to kick the all out of play, Chelsea them self’s did this a number of times during the game, they just don’t like it when others do to them what they do to others. When it the dust settles I was so happy to see Drogba get the red card and yes he deserved it not only for the slap in the face but also for every time that he gestured for somebody else to get a card, so good bye Drogba.
So on to penalties oh and how nervous was I and at 2-2 I just knew Ronaldo would miss his penalty when will he learn just to run up to a ball and hit it with out the stopping half way up, which by the way I believe is illegal. So it all comes down to John Terry and was I happy that he missed now maybe he will keep him mouth shut in the run up to the big games. At least the next time he is shouting his mouth off I can remember him crying in Moscow. I guess Rio can stay as the England captain.
Well a great night in Moscow for all Man U fans, I just hope when I wake up in the morning we are still talking about the football and not things off the pitch.
Congratulations to Sir Alex and all at Manchester United!!!!

Today DirecTV release 2 new services to there line up which make it much easier to never miss a TV show again. DVR Scheduler and DVR Scheduler Mobile make it possible to set recordings from your Computer or Mobile device and they will record to your DVR.
From your computer you can now log on to your DirecTV account at www.directv.com and click on My TV Schedule from there you can choose any show to recored and it will record to your DVR. If you have more than one DVR you can even choose what DVR to record to.

The mobile version is not as easy to use but you can search from any show and record it from your mobile device. This is still a very good application for when you are out with your friends and you get told about a new show you would like to record.
This is yet another reason not to use cable and to stay with satellite. Great work DitecTV.

Today I had one of the worst experiences shopping on line as I have ever had. In my search for a Wii Fit I decided I would return some of the Wii games that I don’t use for a new Wii Fit game. I did this on Monday thinking thats when the Wii Fit would be release, as it wasn’t I received a store credit for the games that would cover my new Wii Fit. While in the store the manager told me that they are only due to get 2 of the games in on Wednesday and said I can also check online. Yesterday the online store did not even have the Wii Fit listed, when I checked again today the store said they had them and they would be shipped to arrive on or around May 21st. So I decide to Order my Wii Fit so I would have it on or around May 21st.
After receiving an email saying that to make sure my order was secure they had to do some verifications that would take 5 days I decided that this was not acceptable and I thought I would call them to find out what was the problem. The first problem I had was they hide there customer service number so you have to contact them by email, giving them 1-2 days to respond. I finally found a number for them and for everyone that needs it there customer service number is 1-800-818-1941.
I first spoke to an agent who told me that she could verify me but after she did this it would still take 7 days for the order to go through, when I started to ask why she started to scream down the phone that she was going to cancel my order and then hung up the phone, NICE.
I then phoned back and spoke to the 2nd agent who told me that my order had not been canceled. He also told me that an internal email had been sent out saying that FYE had only received 2% of there Wii Fit Shipments and this would lead to them canceling a lot of orders (This is not on there web site) he could not tell me if I was part of that 2% so I asked him to cancel my order. I was then told that it would take 8 weeks to put the refund back on my Store gift card. At this point I asked to speak to a manager, the manager then told me that he would cancel the order but it would take 7 days to process my refund to my gift card and there was nothing any one could do about it.
So from the out come it looks like I will have to wait a very long time to get my Wii Fit and once I do I know it will be the last shopping I ever do with FYE or FYE.com. My advise to any one wanting to shop with FYE is run, run very fast.
The Saga Continues
OK so today when I phoned the number on my gift card to see if the money had been returned to my account I was happy to find out that it had been and I was told that I am good to use the card. I phone the store they have a Wii Fit in store and they would be happy to hold it for me.
I arrived at the store and I was very happy to see that they had my Wii Fit. This is where the problems started. When I went to pay with my gift card I was told that it was locked and there was nothing that could be done. I spoke to the manager and explain the last few days he told me he would call and try and fix the problem. After 20 minutes of waiting around the manager finally returned and told me that yes the card was locked and there was nothing he could do. He told me that he would take ownership of the problem and give me a call when the card was good again. On a good note he did tell me that he would hold the Wii Fit until my problem was fixed. So the good news is I have a Wii Fit the bad news is its stuck in the store.
Again once i receive my Wii Fit this will be my last ever purchase from FYE or FYE.com
Another Update
Well I have finally had the call to tell me that FYE have locked my money in there system for 7 days and there is nothing that they can do about it, so basically they have stolen my money for 7 days. When I asked why the response I got was this is one of the down sides of shopping online. So in the eyes of FYE I guess it is bad to use there online store. I know I will never use it again.

Well it was semi final night tonight and I think that we will be looking at an all male final next week.
Syesha has been good over the season but tonight I just don’t think she was be able to compete with the guys, her first song was good but the other two were poor.
The two guys, well for me its was Davids Cook’s night he was by far the best on the night. David Archuleta had a bad night for me not his usual self at all, I wounder if something is missing there.
I know everyone thinks that David Archuleta will be the next American Idol but for me David Cook is by far the better signer so far.
Should be a good final next week but lets wait and see who gets there first, for me its the two David’s.

I spoke to early, earlier this week when I thought all was well with Windows XP SP3. Today I sat down to watch my podcast’s shows when everything kept crashing. After I rebuilt my Apple TV reinstalled iTunes all was still not well.
The problem I was having was that the Apple TV kept loosing a connection with my iTunes and as such disappeared from the device list in my iTunes. The only way to get the Apple TV back in the iTunes list was to close and reopen iTunes or power off the Apple TV. When I did get it back in the list as soon as I started to watch a show it would drop the connection.
Finally I decided that it most be SP3 and yes i was correct. What I can say is that the uninstall for for Service Pack 3 works very well, apparently better that the install
and now that I am back to SP2 all is working well with my Apple TV.
In conclusion if you are using Apple TV I would avoid installing Microsoft Windows XP SP3.

For the last few years I have been using Skype to keep in touch with all of my family and friends back in the UK, this became a very important tool when Christopher was born. Video calling just makes the world a much smaller place.
However since the start of this year I have been having lots of problems with video calling with Skype back to the UK, it worked fine in the USA but every time I tried back to the UK they would not see my video. I then had to go and find the windows laptop to use MSN (Not good quality).
Now I have found ooVoo I have been tested ooVoo this week and it works just the same as Skype. Download the client on each PC and away you go. The good news is that I found the Video and Sound quality to be as good if not better than Skype. My parents were much happier they could just see Christopher with out me hunting down the other laptop.
I will still be using Skype for all my voice calling as that works great but for video calling I will be using ooVoo for the time being.
You can download oovoo at http://www.oovoo.com/

***** Update *****
AT&T has now removed this from there web site.
Just what are AT&T doing with this? 1st they give free access, then take it away. Then they say they are giving free access then they don’t. Come on AT&T make up your mind.
*******************
OK this has been rumored for some time now but its now official, iPhone users in the US will get free access to all of AT&T’s Wi-Fi hotspots.
This has now been included on AT&T’s web site under the iPhone plane section
“access to AT&T’s more than 17,000 Wi-Fi hotspots, including Starbucks* all for use in the U.S.
*Wi-Fi available at U.S. company operated Starbucks locations equipped with a hotspot.”
http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/specials/iPhoneCenter.html
Things just keep getting better for the iPhone.

Well I managed to install Windows XP SP3 on a number of my Windows PC today.
I can say that the download and install takes about an hour but it did install well and so far I have not had any problems with any of my machines.
Here is a list of the software that I am running and all is working well
- Norton AV
- iTunes
- AppleTV working well After more testing I found out that this had problems read this more recent Blog.
- Skype
- NTRConnect (Remote control software)
- Mozy Backup
- Microsoft Office
- File & Print Sharing is working well
So I can say that this time Microsoft seemed to have released a good service Pack. Fingers crossed all will be well over the next couple of days.
